MP3-FLAC MAPPER v0.42

Another friend of mine who also happens to be a professional DJ (I also have friends in other professions :-), asked if I could build something quick to generate lists of MP3 and FLAC files from her music library drives. I put together exactly that, and she was really happy with how it turned out. Since it solved a real problem so well, I decided to release it into the world. Hopefully it can make someone else's workflow a little smoother, too.
MP3-Flac Mapper v0.42 is a free desktop application that scans directories for MP3 and FLAC audio files, displays their bitrates, and allows you to export the results (TXT and/or Excel).
- Launching the Program :
- SELECT MAP button - to choose a folder (map/directory) containing MP3/FLAC files.
- QUIT button - to exit the program.
- READ ME button - displays a text file containing program information, Legal usage terms and Licensing and usage policy.
- Using the SELECT MAP Button :
- 1. Click SELECT MAP.
- 2. Choose a folder (map/directory) containing MP3/FLAC files
- 3. select whether to include subdirectories
- 4. The program will:
- Scan the folder for .mp3 and .flac files.
- Count the number of files found.
- Display:
- The name of each file.
- The name of the selected folder.
- The Bitrate of each file.
- Output File :
- Export to Text (.txt) or Excel (.xlsx) or both, OR Save filenames only to TXT.
- This file is saved in the directory of your choice.
Inside the downloaded ZIP file you will find:
